JAMMU, Dec 12: A debate competition on the topic “Should All of Us Be Vegetarians” was held in the Maharaja Hari Singh DAV Public Higher Secondary School Udhampur today.
In the competition the students from six schools namely Army Public School Udhampur, Government Higher Secondary School Gahri, Government Higher Secondary School Boys Udhampur, Government Girls Higher Secondary School Udhampur and Secondary and Senior Secondary Wing of Maharaja Hari Singh DAV Public Higher Secondary School Udhampur participated.
The participants spoke in favour and against the topic. In the competition Ritvik Kotwal and Sumur Mainyar from Army School Udhampur scored first and second positions respectively while Murul Samyal from Government Girls Higher Secondary School Udhampur scored third position.
Shriya Mahajan form Maharaja Hari Singh DAV Public Higher Secondary School got first consolation, Arif from Government Higher Secondary School Boys Udhampur got second consolation and Ujjwal Magotra from Maharaja Hari Singh DAV Public Higher Secondary School Udhampur got third consolation prize.
Speaking on the occasion Principal of the School Sat Pal Kesar appreciated all the participants for expressing their valuable view points.
The Pogramme was sponsored by Department of Science and Technology District Udhampur. Sunita Razdan the district Coordinator of Science and Technology welcomed the participants.
Virender Sharma, retd Principal, Shallu Gupta lecturer and Sunita Razdan were judges on the occasion.
