DCC lifts Bawa Guru Ji Cricket tournament title

JAMMU, May 16: Dhateryal Cricket Club (DCC) trounced Nagbani Cricket Club (NCC) in the final match of the ongoing Bawa Guru Ji Cricket tournament and lifted the title of the tournament, organised at Marh, here today.
The tournament was organised on knockout basis wherein BDC Chairman Surinder Kumar was the chief guest, whereas TSO Marh Raman Sharma was the guest of honour. They distributed prizes among the winners.
Addressing the audience BDC Chairman stressed upon to organise more such events to involve youth of rural areas to keep them away from drug menace. He said sports and games are a must in the daily life of youth as it will keep them physically and mentally sound. He further assured the gathering that he will try best to develop the sports infrastructure of the area.
The tournament was organised in the memory of Lt. Devinder Kumar and Kumari Devanshi.
Panch Pardeep Kumar along with dozens of prominent persons of the area witnessed the final match. The tournament was organised under the organising team of Dhateryal which consisted of Manjeet, Sushil, Sunil, Arjun, Narotam, Anuj, Sunny, Rony, Raman, Arun and Anmol.
