JAMMU, Sept 28: Claiming 15 gold, 13 silver and 16 bronze medals, DBN School Mubarak Mandi lifted overall trophy in the 5th District Martial Art Championship, organized by Freedom Society, an Association of Sports and Martial Arts at Jammu Public Higher Secondary School, Wazarat Road, here today.
The Championship is being organized by chairman of the Society, Karun Khajuria, 3rd Dan Black Belt and National gold medalist, who has the distinction of being the Natioanl Instructor and Umpire in this discipline of a sport.
Jammu Public Higher Secondary School with 3 gold, 4 silver and 5 bronze medals bagged second place in the Competition, while the third place went to Abhey School by winning 1 gold, 2 silver and 3 bronze medals. Private Club claimed 1 gold, 2 silver and 2 bronze medals.
Earlier, the Championship was inaugurated by Director Jammu Public HSS, SIH Kazmi and its Principal Neerja Handoo, while Social Worker, Manik Bharadwaj was the chief guest on the closing function.
