*MHAC School Nagbani clinches overall trophy

JAMMU, Aug 3: The DAV National Sports 2024 (Cluster Level) Tournament for U-14, U-17, and U-19 categories took place at MHAC School, Nagbani. This significant event brought together students from various schools under DAV management in the Jammu cluster, fostering a spirit of competition and sportsmanship. Over 200 young athletes participated across 12 events, including Basketball, Skating, Volleyball, Cricket, Football, Kho-Kho, Chess, Athletics and Martial Arts.
The tournament kicked off with an opening ceremony inaugurated by Brij Mohan, Principal of MHAC School, Nagbani. In his address, he emphasized the importance of fair play and encouraged the participants to exhibit true sportsmanship. The event began with the Sports Oath, setting the tone for the competition.
The closing ceremony featured Vandana Kumari, Ex-Sarpanch of Flora, Nagbani, as the chief guest. She lauded students on their exceptional performances and highlighted the discipline and sportsmanship displayed throughout the tournament.
Guest schools, including MHS DAV Cent. Public School, Akhnoor, and MHS DAV Public School, R.S. Pura also competed in the event. The overall trophy was claimed by MHAC School, Nagbani, marking a successful and competitive two-day tournament that showcased the talents and dedication of the young athletes.
