Cycle Expedition ‘Sailab Se Salamati Tak’ held

SRINAGAR, Feb 3:  Nineteen youth of Kashmir are on the Cycling Expedition ‘Sailab Se Salamati Tak’ from Srinagar to Delhi.
They witnessed the Light and Sound Show at Balidan Stamb in Jammu on February 2, 2015 and interacted with Major General Dushyant Singh, General Officer Commanding Tiger Division, here today.
The youth were inspired by the valour of the martyrs in the Light and Sound Show and were felicitated with mementoes at Tiger Division.
“It was due to the great efforts of the Indian Army that the people of the Valley were rescued, provided food, medical aid and other facilities during the flood rescue in Operation Megh Rahat,” said Mansoor Ahmed from Chak Kawoosa, Budgam.
“There are 19 youth under Major Vishesh Arora, who will cover a distance of approximately 975 kilometers in 11 days. In Delhi, the youth will be interacting with General Dalbir Singh, Chief of the Army Staff and also attending ‘Mushaira’, as part of the literary festival of Hindu College centered around Kashmir,” informed Lt Col Manish Mehta.
