ANANTNAG, Sept 25: Cycle expedition contingent of 21 cyclists which today entered the Valley through Jawahar Tunnel was received during wee-hours by District Development Commissioner, Anantnag, Dr. Farooq Ahmad Lone and Director Tourism, Talat Parvaiz along with other concerned officers.
On this occasion, Director Tourism revealed that this expedition will boost the tourism of J&K and will pave way for organising bigger events as well. He further said that “Tour-de-Kashmir” expedition is going on successfully and Kanya Kumari to Kashmir expedition will further highlight and strengthen the state tourism sector across the country.
Later on, the pace of work on different tourist facilities being executed by Development Authorities was discussed threadbare in a meeting in which Director Tourism instructed the concerned for speeding up the pace of work keeping in view the coming winter season so that the fixed targets with regard to infrastructure development are met well in time.
