JAMMU, Dec 8: The Cluster University of Jammu flagged off its Men’s Volleyball Team for the North Zone Inter-University Tournament, scheduled from December 9 to 12 at the Central University of Haryana, Mahendergarh.
The send-off ceremony was held on the university campus by Ankur Mahajan, Registrar, who extended best wishes to the players. The ceremony was graced by Prof DS Manhas, Dean Students’ Welfare and Dr Vinod Bakshi, Director, Physical Education, who will provide technical mentoring to the team throughout the tournament.
The University team comprises Jatin Rayaan, Udhay Kumar, Amit Kumar, Mohd Asif, Chaitin Singh, Nitin Manhas, Aftab Ahmed, Nitin Singh, Rajat Singh, Ayush Mahajan and Nehal Kumar, selected for their exceptional skill, dedication and teamwork.
Vice Chancellor, Prof. (Dr.) KS Chandrasekar, lauded the efforts of the players and the Department of Physical Education, noting that participation in national-level tournaments enhances confidence, exposure, and sporting excellence. The University extended best wishes to the team for a successful tournament.
