CRPF organizes Volleyball, Cricket matches to celebrate 79th Anniversary

BARAMULLA, Mar 25: Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) celebrated its 79th Anniversary of its inception with zeal and zest here today.
53Bn CRPF in Baramulla celebrated the day with great fervour.
In the morning, flag hoisting at headquarter was done by Commandant-53Bn followed by remembrance of the martyrs of the force. In the evening, friendly Volleyball match between combined team of Charley Company and headquarter was played which was followed by ‘Badakhana’ in the evening.
A friendly cricket match was also organized between 53Bn CRPF and Baramulla Working journalist association, Baramulla (BWJA).
53Bn CRPF won the match by 97 runs. Speaking on the occasion, Vinay Kumar Tiwari, Commandant -53 Bn CRPF said ‘CRPF has proved its mettle as premier most force of central government. It is facing multi dimensional challenges and is tackling the same in a befitting manner.
Later-on, the dignitaries distributed prizes among the players on the occasion.
