UDHAMPUR, Oct 25: The 137 Battalian Central Reserve Police (CRPF) today organized a friendly Cricket Match at Government Degree College Boys Udhampur to commemorate the birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabh bhai Patel.
Principal of the host College, Dr. Nutan Kumar Resutra, was the chief guest while District Information Officer, Er. Sajad Bashir Somberia was the guest of honour on the occasion.
The two teams namely Government Degree College Boys and CRPF personnel participated in the tournament which was won by the former team.
Earlier, a marathon race was organized by the CRPF Battalian from Omara in which a large number of CRPF personnel participated which culminate at Badali.
On the occasion, the CRPF personnel paid homage to the Martyrs.
Among others, Commandant 137 Battalian CRPF, Khalid Khan, Second in Command, Tejinder Kour and other officers of CRPF besides staff members and students of the college were present on the occasion.
