Cricket with Pakistan Unacceptable: Shiv Sena

JAMMU, Aug 2: Shiv Sena (UBT), Jammu and Kashmir unit, led by its president Manish Sahni, staged a protest near the party’s Muthi office demanding a complete ban on cricket ties with Pakistan. The protesters held placards reading “Sports relations with the killers of Sindoor are intolerable” and “Nurturing terrorism through match betting”.
Sahni said that Pakistan continues to sponsor terrorism in Jammu and Kashmir, with 98 terrorist incidents reported this year. He alleged that betting during India-Pakistan matches funds terrorism and accused BCCI of ignoring national sentiment for profit. He urged the Modi Government to stop all cricket matches with Pakistan in the upcoming Asia Cup 2025.
Meenakshi Chhibber, Vikas Bakshi, Sanjeev Kohli, Balwant Singh, Raj Singh, Vinod Verma, Mangu Ram, Shiban Raina, Jarnail Singh and Bittuju Raina joined the protest.
