Cricket match for girls organised

KISHTWAR, Jan 23: Army organised a cricket match for girls at Patimahal on the occasion of Republic Day, here today.
Two teams Ayesha and Masha of Patimahal participated in the match. The tournament was witnessed by Government officials, DDC Member, BDC Chairperson and village heads of Palmar region.
The girls tournament was first of its kind in Palmar region and witnessed participation from all communities and was a watershed moment for Palmar block.
The winners were felicitated with cash prizes in presence of dignitaries including Tahir Masood, DDC Member
During the match, DDC Member, Tahir Masood announced Rs 4 lakh, while Lalita Devi, BDC Chairperson announced Rs 2 lakh for development of cricket ground at Palmar. The event was organised by Army Dul to boost girls towards sports.
