Cricket match for engineering students organised

JAMMU, Mar 6: Applied Sciences Department of Yogananda College of Engineering and Technology (YCET) organized Cricket match, here today.
Two teams were selected from the first year B.E. students including one team was constituted from the CSE and Electrical Engineering branches, whereas other team was constituted from Civil and Mechanical Engineering branches.
It was overwhelming to see the level of enthusiasm & zeal in the players.
Dr Rakesh Verma, Head of Department of Applied Sciences motivated both the teams and said that the purpose behind to organise such match was to bring out the talent and potential of the engineering students.
The combined team of CSE and Electrical Engineering branches won the match by one wicket and lifted the trophy.
Prof (Dr) A K Srivastava, Director, YCET encouraged the students to involve more in extra-curricular activities and also appreciated the efforts of students and the Department for making the event successful.
