JKCA District Level Cricket Tournament

JAMMU, June 7: Country Cricket Club and Mughal Cricket Club registered convincing victories over their rivals in the ongoing JKCA District Level Cricket Tournament, being organised under the overall supervision of Jang Bahadur Singh Jamwal, Member Judicial State Human Rights Commission and Member JKCA at different venues across Jammu division.
At GGM Science College Hostel ground Jammu, Country Cricket Club defeated Mayank Goswami Cricket Academy (MGCA) by 10 wickets in an easy contest.
MGCA, while batting first bundled out for 91 runs. Sanchit was the top scorer with 50 runs, while Prabjot contributed 18 runs and Aryan Dasi scored 10 runs. From Country Cricket Club, Surya took 3 wickets, while Agastya and Marutwan claimed 2 wickets each.
In reply, Country Cricket Club scored the required runs without losing any wicket, thus won the match by 10 wickets. Avinash top scored with 69 runs, while Vanshaj contributed 17 runs to the total. Avinash Jmawal was adjudged as the man of the match.
At Sports Stadium Poonch, Mughal Cricket Club made it a fine 21 runs win against Star Buffliaz Club.
Batting first, after winning the toss, Mughal Club set a target of 229 runs after they lost all their wickets in given 40 overs. Niaz played brilliant innings of 74 runs while Sajjad and Waseem contributed 32 runs runs each. From Star Buffliaz, Ravinder and Manzoor shared two wickets each.
In reply, Star Buffliaz Club could make 208 runs in 29.5 overs losing all their wickets. Hanief contributed highest 56 runs and Shoaib added 47.
Waseem was the wrecker-in-chief, who claimed five wickets for 41 runs in eight overs he bowled. Niaz was named as the man of the match for his 74 runs innings.
