Govt MAM College lifts Cricket title

JAMMU, Feb 27: Government MAM College lifted the Cricket trophy in the inter-college sports festival of Zone-A hosted by the GGM Science College at its Hostel ground, here today.
In the final, MAM College defeated Government Degree College (GDC) Samba in an easy contest by eight wickets. Earlier, batting first, GDC Samba bundled out for 73 runs in 17.4 overs, which, in reply, MAM College chased in just 9.5 overs losing two wickets.
Registrar Cluster University of Jammu (CLUJ), Dr Jatinder Khajuria was the chief guest, who gave away the title trophy in the presence of Sports Coordinator, CLUJ, Dr Vinod Bakshi.
Also present were Prof Sham Singh Kotwal, Prof Rahul Sharma, Prof Veer Singh, Prof Rajeev Kumar and Pawan Giri Assistant Physical Director of GGM Science College. The final officiated by the technical penal including Suresh Singh, Ashok Singh, Vijay Kumar and Sadiq Hussain.
Meanwhile, Government SPMR College of Commerce and GDC Khour bagged Tug of War trophies in men and women sections respectively at GGM Science College ground. The event was part of the inter-college sports festival.
In the men’s final, Commerce College defeated GGM Science College by 3-1. Semifinals: College of Commerce beat GDC Akhnoor 2-0; GGM Science College beat GDC Paloura 2-1.
Similarly, in the women’s final, GDC Khour outplayed GDC GCW Gandhi Nagar by 3-0. Earlier, in the semifinals, GDC Khour defeated GDC Ramgarh 2-0 while GCW Gandhi Nagar outplayed GCW Parade by 2-0.
In Tug of War, again Registrar CLUJ, Dr. Jatinder Khajuria was the chief guest, who along with Dr. Vinod Bakshi (Sports Coordinator CLUJ) presented title trophies.

Saini, Aijaz Malik, Physical Director, Mandeep Singh Physical Director, Ramandeep Kralia, Physical Director, Narinder Sharma, Physical Director, Prof. Mahesh Sharma, Prof. Sham Singh Kotwal, Sanjeev Samyal, Physical Director, Suman Sharma, Physical Director, Prof. Kuldeep, Pawan Giri, Assistant Physical Director, Anil Kumar Assistant Physical Director and Suresh Kumar Assistant Physical Director.
