JAMMU, July 20: Two months long National Wushu Coaching Camp for Senior Indian Wushu team concluded at SAI HATC Shilaroo.
50 Campers from different parts of the country participated in the preparatory phase of the Camp.
The India Camp was in preparation of the Indian wushu team for the 14th World Wushu Championship to be held at Kazan (Russia) from September 26 to October 4, 2017.
The second phase of the Camp will be held in China for the period of one month.
The selection trials for short-listing of the players for the Foreign Exposure Training at China was held on July 11 and July 22, 2017 at SAI Shilaroo.
The 22-member Indian Wushu team will leave for Beijing Sports University on July 30, 2017. The final phase will be held at SAI Bhopal from August 26 to September 25, 2017.
The team is headed by J&K’s Kuldeep Handoo, National Chief coach and assisted by Rajesh Kumar, Ravi Parkash Tripathi, Sachidananda and Rajvir Singh.
Seven players of Jammu and Kashmir attended the Camp, which was organized by Wushu Association of India in collaboration with Sports Authority of India (SAI).
