JAMMU, Oct 22: Sublime 50 by Abhishek (77 runs) coupled with clinical bowling performance by Jammu Sports bowlers helped Jammu Sports to register a comprehensive 75 runs victory over Sidhra Sports in the 2nd match of the five matches of ‘Eid Diwali Milan T20 Cup’ series and levelled the series at 1-1, here today.
Winning the toss Jammu Sports decided to bat first and posted a challenging 175 runs target on the scoreboard in the stipulated 20 overs. Abhishek’s 77 runs and Mukesh’s 30 runs took Sidhra Sports bowlers to the cleaners as the duo posted 86 runs opening stand for the team. For Sidhra Sports, Asif took three wickets to remain the pick of the bowlers whereas Nasir took one wicket.
In reply, Sidra Sports looked under immense pressure thus could not hold their nerves as the whole team was bundled out on paltry 99 runs. Farooq (23 runs) and Ashif (27 runs) were the main contributors for the Sidhra Sports. For Jammu Sports, Raman and Jagpal and Bunty took 2 wickets each, whereas Sunil Bali and Vikram also shared wicket apiece.
Abhishek from Jammu Sports was declared as player of the match for his match winning performance with the bat.
