Churchill beats Christian Star, JS holds Church to 2-2 draw

JAMMU, June 16: Churchill Brother trounced Christian Star by 3 goals to 2, while the match between Jammu Sports (JS) and Church of Jammu ended with 2-2 draw in the ongoing Cyrus Mattoo Memorial Football Tournament at St Paul’s Church CNI Convention Ground, here today.
The tournament is being organised by Soudagar Mattoo and family on league cum knockout basis.
In the first match, Churchill Brothers got the better of Christian Star wherein former netted three goals scored by Shine, Arun and Seven in the 10th, 15th and 27th minutes of the game respectively, while latter clinched two goals by Aman and Alfred in the 13th and 26th minutes of the game respectively for Christian Star.
The 2nd match between Jammu Sports and Church of Jammu remained 2-2 draw wherein Danny, Rahul and Aryan Mattoo scored goals for their teams.
The prominent persons including Rev Vijay Kumar, presbyter in-charge of St Paul’s Church CNI, David Burat, Saudaghar Mattoo, Griffin Gill, William Mattoo, Camres David, Roman Sandhu, Ravi Sandhu, Lyseus Sotra, Yousaf Don, Moon Stephen, Mohinder Kalsi and Rohit Feastus were present during the event.
