Chief of Army Staff releases Sarhad’s Kargil marathon song

KARGIL, Oct 6: Chief of Army Staff, General MM Naravane today released Sarhad’s Kargil marathon song on Sarhad Music YouTube channel in a virtual function.
The Kargil marathon is being organised by Pune-Sarhad and Ladakh Police here on October 31.
A theme song has been prepared by Sarhad Music which upholds national unity and the spirit of the sports, sung by a noted singer Padmashri Shankar Mahadevan and penned down by Dr Prabhakiran Jain and set to music by Mazhar Siddiqui.
On this occasion, the Army Chief General Naravane said that Sanjay Nahar through Sarhad has been striving for national unity, peace and development for the last 30 years in terror-stricken bordering regions of the country. He is also providing free education to the needy poor students who are the victims of terrorism and is bringing them in the mainstream of progress.
“Sarhad has played a major role in taking ahead the objectives of the Central Government and Army. Indian Army supports the Kargil marathon which is being organized by Sarhad in association with Kargil Police and Kargil District Administration,” he added.
Leh Police Chief Satish Kandhare said that this marathon is a major step towards national unity through sports at a place like Kargil (Leh), a high altitude and difficult place.
Sarhad’s founder president, Sanjay Nahar expressed his satisfaction over the Army Chief, Leh Police and Administration Chief being Maharashtrians and thanked them all for the support they offered for the Kargil marathon.
On this occasion, Padmashri Shankar Mahadevan, Firoz Ahmed Khan, IPS Satish Khandare, IPS Krishna Prakash, IAS Santosh Sukhdeve, IPS Anayat Ali Choudary, Sanjeev Shah, Sanjay Nahar, Shailesh Wadekar, and other dignitaries were present.
Swapnil Joshi and Himakshi Jain compered the launching programme, while the vote of thanks was presented by organizer of the marathon, Sanjeev Shah.
