UDHAMPUR Oct 17: Block Level Inter Panchayat competitions for boys and girls of Block Dudu in the disciplines of Chess and Carrom concluded here at Govt High School Dudu Kirchi and CD Block Basantgarh in Govt HSS Basantgarh.
Swarn Singh, District Youth Services & Sports Officer declared the competitions open in the presence of Sarpanches and Panches, while, Khem Raj Khajuria Retired Headmaster HS Dudu Kirchi was guest of honour.
At HSS Basantgarh, Baldev Raj Vice Principal, Anil Gupta Headmaster GMS Basantgarh and local youth and sports lovers were present on the occasion.
396 boys and 274 girls drawn from 17 Panchayats of the NES Block Dudu (CD Block Basantgarh) for screening and 208 boys and 143 girls participated in the competitions.
The competitions are being organized under the patronage of Dr Saleem-Ur-Rehman, Director General Youth Services and Sports.

Chess Boys-Rasli Thakrai Panchayat defeated Balota Upperla Panchayat; Chess Girls- Balota Upperla Panchayat defeated Khaned Panchayat; Carom Boys-Rasli Gaderan Panchayat defeated Basantgarh Panchayat; Carom Girls-Chakal Panchayat defeated Khaned Panchayat;
Final results of NES Block Dudu:
Chess Boys-Latti-A Panchayat defeated Panchound-2 Panchayat; Chess Girls-Jakhed Panchayat defeated Chapper-A Panchayat; Carom Boys-Dudu Panchayat defeated Latti Panchayat; Carom Girls-Panchound-1 Panchayat defeated Latti-A Panchayat.
The matches were officiated by Parshotam Kumar, Sudesh Kumar, Karun Magotra, Rakesh Kumar, Rajesh Kumar, Abid Hussain, Mohd. Arfan, Pankaj Gupta, Sanjeev Khajuria, Kuldeep Kumar, Shabbir, Devinder Kumar and Vipin Photra.
Later the chief guest distributed sports material among distant Govt institutions of Zone Dudu.
