‘Career Counseling Cum Guidance Programme’ held

JAMMU, June 10: With an aim to infuse knowledge about career making in the youth, a ‘Career Counseling Cum Guidance Programme’, organized jointly by Helpline Humanity, a non Government organization and Shree Ram Institution, affiliate of Kurukshetra University, was held at Community Hall, near Higher Secondary School Jagti, here.
Member Legislative Assembly (MLA), Jugal Kishore inaugurated the programme in an impressive and well attended function by lighting the traditional lamp in presence of other dignitaries.
Over 200 students including some parents drawn from Jagti Township participated in the programme with enthusiasm, zeal and zest.
Speaking on the occasion, the chief guest lauded the organizers for holding such programmes which are highly beneficial for youth with regard to making their careers.
Earlier, MK Bhat, President Helpline Humanity while presenting welcome address threw light on the theme of the programme, which was followed by the address from Dinesh Sharma, Assistant Counselor Shree Ram Institution.
Kapil Sehgal, Senior Counselor spoke on length on the occasion, wherein he briefed the students as to what should be their target, how could the problems and hurdles be tackled and what is the success mantra for ultimate career progress. He stressed upon the students for not making wrong decisions in life, saying that one wrong decision could spoil anybody’s career.
Meanwhile, three students namely Vishal Pandita, Varsha Pandita and Ravi Sharma, who have been provided free of cost education by Helpline Humanity were felicitated by the organizers for their excellent showing in class 10th, the results of which were declared recently.
The proceedings of the programme were conducted by Surinder Bhat, Member Helpline Humanity.
