JAMMU, June 10: Ten meritorious students of KP community who came with flying colours in 12th class examinations both from CBSE and State Board were felicitated at a function organized by Kashmiri Pandit Sabha (KPS) here today.
Relief and Rehabilitation Commissioner, R K Pandita was the chief guest on the occasion while Deputy Commissioner, Kendriya Vidhyalaya Sangathan, P K Koul was the guest of honour. The function among others was attended by the principles of migrant schools, educationists and other dignitaries.
The function was presided over by K K Khosa president of the Sabha. He exhorted the students to work hard to compete in the competitive examinations and stressed them that besides the professional examinations they should also turn towards the civil services examinations both at State as well as Central level.
According to K P Sabha handout 54 applications were received by the Sabha in two categories i.e from general category and migrant camp schools. After scrutinizing the applications five each from general category and five from migrant camp schools were considered strictly according to merit.
The vote of thanks was presented by G J Kampasi, secretary of the Sabha and the programme was compared by S L Bagati general secretary of the Sabha.
The students who were felicitated included Rishab Koul, Vaibhav Bhat, Karan Happa, Miss Druvika Pandita, Rohan Koul, Mohit Bhat , Miss Ruchika Dangi, Miss Rohini Dandi, Miss Alka Bhat and Miss Ruchi Pandita.
