JAMMU, Aug 22: An Inter House Bulletin Board Display Competition on the theme, ‘Peace, Justice and Strong Institutions’ was held today at KC Pubic School.
Prior to the competition, the students were asked to do research on 17 UN Sustainable Development Goals. Afterwards, there was a discussion on the topic. The boards were then put up aesthetically with well researched content.
Each board highlighted the message that peace, stability, human rights and effective governance based on the rule of law are important conduits for sustainable development.
The students who took part in the competition were Osheen and Avantika Khajuria from Ladakh House, Sahar Rohmetra and Ananya Gupta from Jammu House, Ritvik and Ishita from Poonch House and Kanhaiya and Akshita Mengi from Kashmir House.
Kashmir House bagged the first position. Jammu won the second position and Ladakh won the third position.
Admiring the work of the students, Principal, Amarendra Mishra said that the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) aim to significantly reduce all forms of violence, and work with governments and communities to find lasting solutions to conflict and insecurity.
