Budding Young Star drubs Atharav CC to enter finals

JAMMU, Jan 10: Defeating Atharav Cricket Club convincingly by 8 wickets, Budding Young Star Cricket Club sealed berth in the finals of the ongoing Jammu Budding T20 Under-16 Boys Cricket Tournament, being played at ggm Science College Hostel ground, here.
Earlier, batting first, Atharav Cricket Club scored a modest total of 93 runs in the stipulated 20 overs, losing 8 wickets in the process. Rhythm Mahajan top scored with 40 runs, while Praful Dhar contributed 24 runs to the total. Arush Jamwal also chipped in with 7 runs. For Budding Young Star, Aditya Pal Singh was the pick of the bowlers, who took 3 important wickets, while Vishal and Harshpreet claimed one wicket each.
In reply, Budding Young Star chased the target easily in 9 overs by losing 2 wickets, thus won the match by 8 wickets. Harshpreet contributed brilliant 44 runs, while Vishal scored valuable 31 runs to the total. Tallah remained unbeaten on 8 runs. None of the Atharav Club bowlers bowled impressively, though Arush and Anmol claimed one wicket each. Harshpreet was adjudged as man of the match.

Budding Young Star Cricket Club will face Jammu Warriors in the final tomorrow.
