JAMMU, MAY 24: The four-day BSF Jammu Region Lawn Tennis Spandan League 2026 concluded on an exciting note, showcasing high-energy matches, sportsmanship and remarkable performances across various categories.
In the Junior Under-18 category, Hardeep Singh emerged champion after defeating Naman Tak convincingly by 6-2, 6-2. A total of 54 players participated in the category. In the Open Singles final, Sarthak Jain produced a dominant display to defeat Hardeep Singh by 6-1, 6-2 among 61 participants.
The Open Doubles title went to Vikram and Sanjay Kotwal, who edged past Romit and Raghav in a thrilling encounter. The match ended 5-6(2), 6-5(3), followed by a super tie-break score of 10-4. The category saw participation from 23 players.
In the Seniors’ Singles event, Sanjay Kotwal was declared winner after Hemchandra withdrew from the final due to injury. The category featured 10 participants. Vidur Bhardwaj and Pankaj Kumar claimed the Senior Doubles title by defeating Brig Shaleen and Col Dinesh by 6-0, 6-1 among 12 participants.
In the Women’s Singles final, Ridhya Gupta defeated Arushi Gupta to lift the title.
Minister for Youth Services and Sports (YS&S), who attended the closing ceremony as the chief guest, appreciated the efforts of the BSF Jammu Region in promoting sports culture among youth. National Davis Cup coach Ashutosh Singh was present as the special guest on the occasion.
