JAMMU, May 11:  Brigadier Jitendra Singh Shekhawat interacted with Junior Men Hockey team of J&K at KK Hakku Hockey Stadium, here which has been selected for upcoming 12th Hockey India Junior National Men Hockey Championship, scheduled to be held at Kovilpatti in Tamil Nadu from May 18 to 29.
While interacting with the players, Brigadier Shekhawat appreciated the role of Hockey J&K for uplifting the game in the Union Territory and said that the way Hockey J&K under its president Rajeev Sharma is expected to give the best performance in the national tournament.
He presented the Army cap of White Knight Corps to all the players and coaches present during the event and said that the Army is always there to help the public in whatever way it is needed.
Speaking on the occasion, president Hockey J&K, Rajeev Sharma said that the national level coach is specially deputed by Hockey J&K for the camp and our team will definitely improve its performance during the upcoming tournament.
Dr Taran Singh, general secretary Hockey J&K thanked Brig. Shekhwat for sparing his valuable time to encourage the budding Hockey players. He said that the Army cap given to the team will definitely increase confidence and the fighting spirit among the players.
Satpal Singh, Manager KK Hakku Stadium, Rajinder Singh Kuku vice president Hockey J&K, Priyanka Sudan, MP Singh and Angat Singh were also present during the event.
