JAMMU, Oct 10: Like every year, Book Buzz Week is being celebrated at KC Public School under which a variety of activities were chosen for the theme ‘Connect to Reading’.
Each class was involved in variety of activities like storytelling, enactment, character dress up, vocabulary challenge, cover page and book mark designing, and quiz on books and authors.
Each class created the ambience of book nook where students sat down to read books at leisurely pace. There was a fairly good exchange of books in Book Swap activity. The creativity of students was given a nudge in creative writing.
The students also composed Haiku poems with illustration and converted them into songs. The students of Class 1st and 2nd had great fun as their teachers enacted the fairy tale of Cinderella and a puppet theatre on the story–‘Monkey and Crocodile’.
Addressing the students in a special assembly, Headmistress, Sofia Rana, spoke about the importance of reading books.
