BOMIS holds JP Pegasus Inter-School Football tourney

JAMMU, Oct 24: Birla Open Minds International School (BOMIS), Jammu, hosted the highly anticipated JP Pegasus Inter-School Football Championship for Under-17 boys and girls, uniting budding talents from 20 CBSE schools across Jammu. The tournament commenced today in honour of the birth anniversary of Pt. Prem Nath Dogra.
The competition kicked off with 10 teams vying for glory in the boys’ category, each representing their school’s pride and prowess on the football field. Vikram Randhawa, MLA Bahu was the chief guest on the occasion, who addressed the teams, emphasizing the importance of healthy competition and fair play. He commended the dedication and teamwork displayed by the participants, encouraging them to uphold the values of respect throughout the tournament. “Let’s kick off this exciting event, and may the best team emerge victorious!” he remarked.
Principal of BOMIS, Aparana Kohli, extended a warm welcome to all participating schools and athletes, expressing her excitement at the enthusiasm and energy surrounding the event. The first match saw RM Public School triumph over DPS. In the second match, APS Jammu Cantt. emerged victorious. The third match pitted Jammu Sanskriti against KC International School, with KC International taking the win. Jodhamal Public School secured victory in their match against RM Public School, and the final match of the day ended with BOMIS defeating IDPS.
