JAMMU, Dec 26: Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha (BJYM) is going to create history by organizing a mega event of cricket tournaments in the country from January 11 next year.
This was announced by Yuva Morcha State president Ravinder Raina while addressing media persons at party headquarters alongwith his other office bearers. Ravinder Raina, while giving details of the event, said that the national leadership of BJYM has chalked out a nation-wide event of organizing cricket tournaments in 29 States and 7 Union Territories under the slogan of “Khelega Yuva-Jeetega Bharat” with the motive of inducing a sense of oneness and sportsmanship among the people of India, youth in particular on the 150th birth anniversary of Swami Vivekanand ji.
The event will start on January 11 next year in more than 550 districts on the same day. At each district level, a minimum of 16 teams will be registered to compete. The District level tournament will conclude on January 18 and from January 22 to 26, State level tournaments will be played.
Any Indian citizen below 35 years of age will be eligible to play, he said and added that every participant will be given a certificate of participation besides team winning at district level will be awarded rupees 5100 while State level winner team will be awarded rupees 11,000.
Entry fee for each team has been fixed at rupees five hundred and the application forms can be downloaded online by visiting BJP’s website www.jkbjp.org, directly through BJYM State Office at Kachi Chawni, Jammu or on Mobile No 94191-22949, 94191-07642.
Ajay Pargal, Bharat Sharma, Karan Sharma, Ashish Sareen and Tarun Sharma were also present in the press conference.
