SRINAGAR, June 30: Big-GK Jammu and Kashmir Corporate Premier League (JKCPL) has finalized the list of its teams and the sports extravaganza is all set to engross cricketers of the State to showcase their talent in various teams vying for the top honours.
The mega event, which is expected to begin in a week’s time, will provide a great opportunity to the cricketers to hone their skill.
The teams:
Simula Bulls: Owned and headed by Hilal Rather is being led by former ICL player and Ranji trophy skipper Dhruv Mahajan, while seasoned off-spinner Sameer Khajuria will be his deputy.
The other members include Hardeep Singh, Shashi Kumar, Anshuman Sharma, Vijay Sharma, Jaswinder Singh, Akash Choudhary, Umar Nazir, Mayank Gautam, Naushad Ali, Farooq, Shamsher Singh, Yasir Ali, Pankaj Ladda, Amandeep Singh, Atul Sharma, Vivek Thappa, Mohit Puri, Vikram, Gulzar, Ripudaman Singh, Dalbir Singh and FD Fani.
Surya Risers: The team is being owned by Satish Gupta, while Guru Partap Singh is the Sports Head and the team is being led by current Ranji skipper Ian Dev Singh. The other players include Pranav Gupta, Anoop Magotra, Ashwani Bhat, Abhinav Puri, Inderjeet Singh , Sandeep Singh, Pankaj Sasun, Rompy Sharma, Nitin Mehra, Kamal Kishore, Saurab Chopra, Sagar Gupta, Shiv Duttt Sharma, Bansi Lal, Abishek Slathia, Yogesh Nagar (outside state player), Ranjeet Singh, Siddhant Sing Badal, Anil Kumar and Himanshu.
Jumbo Gladiators: Owned and Headed by Sahil Agarwal, the team is being captained by current Ranji trophy all-rounder, Ramdayal Punia, while the other members include Raman Dutta, Aditya Pratap Singh, Gokul Baru, Soumya Jain, Imtiaz Malik, Praveen Singh, Amrit Pal, Abid Salam, Sameer Malik, Puneet Kumar, Kuldeep Kumar, Chetan Singh Chib, Manmohan Paroch, Shakik, Ajaz Ahmad, Subrat, Ravi Abrol and Hatanshu Gupta.
Khazar Royals: Owned by Saddam Zaroo, the team is being headed as mentor by Ashfaq Ahmad Mir, while Ranji trophy cricketer Samiullah Beigh is the skipper. The team includes Rahil Singh, Arshid Sheikh, Imran Haroon, Siddharth Magotra, Vijay Dogra, Mujtaba Rizvi, Sajad Sofi, Parminder Singh, Danish Ahmad, Jaleel Bhat, Saif-u-Din, Aslam Bhat, Ovais Khan, Yawar Abbas, Tasaduq, Manzoor Ahmad Gadoo, Omer Nabi, Jahangir Bhat, Manzoor Ahmad Dar, Mohsin Nissar Bhat, Sharukh, Zeeshan Akram and Adil Fayaz.
Cemetac Stars: The team is being owned by Reyaz Ahmad, while Imtiyaz Hussain is the Sports Head and Huwaid Hamid Ronga the skipper. Trumboo Panthers: Owned by Haseeb Trumboo, the team is being headed by Nisar Khanday and captained by Arshid Ahmad Bhat. Sachdeva Leopards: The team is being owned by Syed Sajad, while Niyaz Khan is the Sports Head and Zahoor Sofi as skipper.
