Bhartiya Kala Sangam organizes Folk Dance Festival

JAMMU, Apr 22: Bhartiya Kala Sangam (BKS), Jammu, a premier organisation working in the field for promotion of art, culture and languages since its inception 1980, organised a Folk Dance Festival 2019 in collaboration with the Ministry of Culture, Govt of India at KL Saihgal Hall, here today.
NK Shil, Regional Director Indian Council for Cultural Relations & Regional Passport Officer was the chief guest on the occasion, while RS Chib, former Minister presided over the function.
Ramesh Chander Kotwal SSP Armed; Sushil Kumar Attri, Deputy Director Social Welfare Department; Ranbireshwar Singh Jamwal, Assistant Director Social Welfare Department and Shashi Thakur, Deputy Controller Civil Defence graced the occasion as special guests.
Earlier, Sohail Kazmi, Senior Journalist, Chief Patron Bhartiya Kala Sangam presented welcome address and highlighted the achievements of BKS.
Mr Attri lauded the efforts of the Bhartiya Kala Sangam for presenting such a rich Folk Dance Festival of the Jammu Region of the State, while Ramesh Singh Chib Director Bhartiya Kala Sangam Jammu gave a brief account of cultural activities and other literary programmes held during the span of 38 years with its beginning in the year 1980.
The event was conducted by Rajni Sharma, renowned anchor of Radio and TV, while vote of thanks was presented by TR Sharma, Chairman Bhartiya Kala Sangam Jammu.
