ANANTNAG, June 20: Bharamshah Hockey Club held Unanimous Hockey Club to draw, while Anantnag Sports defeated Young Club to advance in the ongoing Anantnag Hockey League Tournament, being played at Degree College, here.
The tournament is being organised by Hockey J&K and sponsored by Jammu and Kashmir State Sports Council.
Earlier, in the first match, Anantnag Sports defeated Young Hockey Club by four goals to one (4-1). From Anantnag Sports, Shafi scored 2 goals, while Shaid and Adil netted one goal each.
In another match, Bharamshah King held Unanimous Hockey Club to (2-2) draw as both the teams played attacking hockey.
The matches were officiated by Shanir Malik, Akthar Raswal and Abid Ahmad.
In tomorrow’s fixture, Bharamshah (A) Hockey Club will take on Young Anantnag Hockey Club.
Meanwhile, social activist Pervaiz Gulzar will be organising a Panchayat Level Hockey Tournament from June 25, 2019 onwards at Degree College Anantnag, which will be conducted under the supervision of Talib Hussain, Vice President Hockey J&K.
