JAMMU, Nov 14: Minister for Horticulture and Culture, Raman Bhalla today flagged off the Jammu Cyclothon organized on the eve of children’s day.
The cyclothon was organized to promote the cause of Clean Green Jammu, environment consciousness and a healthy lifestyle.
The cyclothon started from Qasim Nagar Chowk at Narwal at 9 a m and culminated in a fun-filled closing ceremony opposite hill view Honda Sidhra.
Director Vigilance-cum-ADGP, Sheikh Owais was the chief guest at the closing ceremony. Chief Engineer PHE Jammu, K K Gupta was the guest of honour.
The cyclothon was organized by SWAR RAGA. It was sponsored by Simula Infra Development Jammu and Avon Cycles.
Bhalla appreciated the organizer for promoting the cause of environment consciousness and good health. Jiwan Singh. Aaquib and Imran emerged winners in the cyclothon.
Trophies were also given to Juhi Bali, Sahil and Gurpreet for their commendable participation. Ravi Kumar won a prize for being the youngest participant of the cyclothon.
Strings, a musical group, entertained the audience with a lively performance at the show.
