RAJOURI, Oct 29: Baba Ghulam Shah Badshah University has deputed its Men’s Volleyball team to participate in prestigious North Zone Inter-University Volleyball Cup which will be held at Kurukshetra University from November 1, 2014.
Registrar, Baba Ghulam Shah Badshah University, Mohammad Rashid Choudhary in presence of Dean Academic Affairs, Prof AK Koul, Special Secretary to Vice Chancellor Suneet Gupta and Deputy Director Physical Education & Sports, Mohammad Din, flagged off 12 members team to Kurukshetra University for participating in this prestigious Volleyball Tournament in which atleast 50 Universities of North India are taking part.
The team is headed by Aamir Ameen as Captian, while Assistant Professor of University, Dr Javaid Iqbal is accompanying the team as manager/coach.
Speaking on the occasion, Mr Chowdhary said that Vice Chancellor, Prof Irshad Ahmed Hamal is serious in overall development of the scholars and it was on his advise that the Directorate of Physical Education and Sports send this team to participate in the tournament.
