Benia Min lifts 25th Domel Kesari title

JAMMU, Apr 21: Wrestler Benia Min of J&K Police of Basantgarh in Udhampur lifted ’25th Domel Kesari 2014′ title by defeating wrestler Prince of Amritsar in Punjab in a thrilling contest that lasted for 20 minutes at Domel on National Highway, here today.
The dangal was organized by Domel Dangal Committee in association with J&K Indian Style Wrestling Association, under the overall supervision of president J&K Indian Style Wrestling Association, Shiv Kumar Sharma, Sarpanch Mohd Sadiq, Jambal Dass and Puran Chand.
State general secretary BSP, Rakesh Wazir was the chief guest on the occasion, who distributed cash prizes among the winners and runners-up wrestlers. Treasurer Indian Style Wrestling Association of India, Mr Sharma presided over the function, while Noor Ali Dansalia, District Jammu secretary Rural NC was the guest of honour.
Winner of the title, Benia was presented with cash prize of Rs 17,000 in addition to silver gurj (gadda) and patta by Rakesh Wazir and Shiv Kumar Sharma, while runners-up wrestler Prince got Rs 14,000.
