JAMMU, May 25: J&K Police wrestler Benia Min of Basantgarh, district Udhampur lifted “6th Annual Hut-Parthal (Katra) Dangal title after defeating wrestler Tejveer of Rohtak, Haryana at Sherbad, Katra in district Reasi.
The competition was organized by Hut-Parthal Dangal Committee in collaboration with J&K Indian Style Wrestling Association under the overall supervision of President J&K Indian Style Wrestling Association Shiv Kumar Sharma, Sarpanch Rattan Singh, Deepak Singh Wazir and other members of Dangal Committee.
Commandant CRPF 6th Battalion Katra SK Misra was the chief guest on the occasion who distributed cash prizes among the wrestlers in presence of Joint Secretary J&K State Sports Council Shiv Kumar Sharma, DySP Katra Dr Ashok Kumar Sharma, SHO Katra Inspector Arvind Singh Sambyal, Advocate Pawan Dev Singh and social activists, wrestling promoter and Vice-President J&K Indian Style Wrestling Association Ram Paul Sharma, Naresh Kumar, Om Parkah Verma, Varinder Sharma, Rajesh Singh Wazir, Sat Paul Verma, Puran Chand ASI, Sarpanch Pappu, Sarpanch Baldev Singh and Retd Lecturer Mubarak Singh.
Maan of Zirakpur, Chandigarh was declared as best wrestler of the dangal and rewarded with Rs 1,100 cash and Mata Ki Chunni.
