JAMMU, Nov 30: Outplaying their rivals convincingly in the semifinals, Basit Wani and Arjun Singh entered the finals of the State Sub Junior Snooker Championship, while Akash, Shivam and Manav entered the 2nd round in State Junior Snooker Championship, being organized by Jammu and Kashmir Billiards and Snooker Championship at Billiards Hall, here.
In the first Sub Junior semifinal, Basit Wani toppled Shubneer Sharma (3-0) by (59-25, 55-38, 83-56), while in another semifinal match, Arjun Singh defeated Jitandrya (3-2) by (41-60, 70-18, 66-22, 34-57, 66-52).
Earlier, in the remaining matches of Sub Junior category, Aman Choudhary beat Padam Gupta (2-0), Arjun Singh got better of Ansh Chopra (2-1), Shubneer Sharma defeated Aasim Rashid (2-0) and Basit Wani prevailed over Sanand Sharma (2-1).
Meanwhile, in Junior Snooker Akash, Shivam and Manav entered into second round of the Championship. Akash Mahajan defeated Jonty Singh (2-0) by (64-43, 66-36), Shivam Gupta beat Danish Gupta (2-0) by (64-46, 64-37) and Manav Gupta outplayed Satwik Gupta (2-0) by (46-36, 56-21).
