JAMMU, Oct 1: The All J&K Union Territory selection trials for Under-15 and Under-17 boys and girls commenced today at the M.A. Stadium in Jammu. Organized by the Badminton Association of J&K in collaboration with the J&K Sports Council, the trials will run from October 1 to 3, 2024, attracting about 168 participants from various districts across J&K.
Dr. O.D. Sharma, Vice President of the Badminton Association of India (BAI) and Chairman of the Badminton Association of J&K, was the chief guest at the inaugural event. He emphasized the importance of such trials in identifying and nurturing young talent in badminton.
The officiating team included Balbir Jamwal, General Secretary of the Badminton Association of J&K, along with coaches Divum Gupta, Sukhdev Singh, Anil Gurkha, Touseef Ahmad, and Vikram Saini, who are guiding the participants throughout the selection process.
