SRINAGAR, Oct 5: Badal Club clinched the title of the 2nd Marvel Technology Hockey Tournament by defeating Young State Hockey Srinagar by 3-1 in an exciting final played at Polo Ground, here today.
The tournament was organised by Young Stars Hockey Club Bahrain under the aegis of Hockey J&K and in collaboration with the J&K Sports Council.
Former Speaker and MLA Mubarak Gul, who was the chief guest, praised both teams for their dedication and sportsmanship. Guest of honour Raja Yakoob Ali Khan, Divisional Sports Officer, also appreciated the players and organisers.
Adil Shabir Ashai, organising secretary, announced that the next edition in 2026 will be planned at the national level. He thanked all stakeholders for their support. Raja Ghulam Nabi Wani, Secretary, International Hockey Championship, and Adil Ashraf, Executive Member, were also present. The event concluded with a prize distribution ceremony, celebrating the teams and participants for their outstanding performance.
