SRINAGAR, June 2: Organised by the District Football Association (DFA) Srinagar, the ‘B Division Football League Tournament was in full swing at Polo Ground and Islamia College Ground as seven matches were played here today.
In the first match, Nishat FC drubbed Nadigund FC by four goals to one (4-1). For Nishat FC, Faheem, Roman and Mushtaq pelted goals in 11th, 14th and 27th minutes of the match, while Riyaz scored the lone goal for Nadigund in the 9th minute.
Rangreth defeated Sulaiman ‘A’ by three goals to nil (3-0), with Umer Wani scoring a magnificent hat-trick, netting goals in 3rd, 47th and 56th minutes.
In the third match, Safalo B scripted a solitary goal win over Azam Sports and the goal scorer was Aatif, while in the 4th match, Emam FC held Muslim Friends FC to a 1-1 draw.
In another match, Al-Noor FC drubbed Independent FC by three goals to nil (3-0). Sameer, Basit and Zubair scored goals in 20th, 35th and 45th minutes respectively, while in yet another match, Madina FC defeated Khanyar FC by a solitary goal and the goal scorer was Shahbaz who pelted it in 33rd minute.
In the 7th match of the day and the only match played at Islamia College Ground, Soccer City defeated Makhdoomi FC by three goals to one (3-1). Danish, Irfan and Hilal were the goal scorers from Soccer City, while Majid Nazir scored lone goal for Makhdoomi FC.
