JAMMU, Aug 23: J&K Softball player, Ayush Singh, resident of Birpur (Samba) will represent in Asia Cup Men’s Softball Championship, scheduled to be held at Kochi, Japan from September 3 to 6.
It is pertinent to mention here that if India figures at top two spots in this championship, it will qualify for the Men’s World Cup Softball Championship to be held in New Zealand from November 26 to December 4, 2022.
Ayush’s selection was made by the selection committee of Softball Association of India on the basis of his outstanding performance in the Senior National Softball Championship held at Bharatpur, Rajasthan.
Earlier, Ayush was in India camp which was conducted by Softball Association of India in different States/UTs namely Maharashtra, Andhra Pradesh, Puducherry and Rajasthan, while presently he was in New Delhi for National Camp till August 27.
Secretary J&K Sports Council, Nuzhat Gul has congratulated Ayush for this achievement and has assured help to the Association to promote this game, while Waseem Raja Khan, general secretary of the Association has also sent a congratulatory message to the player.
