DODA, July 6: Asraria Cricket Club Kishtwar registered and sailed into quarterfinal of Group A, while MP City Boys Madhya Pradesh team also registered win and advanced into the next round of the ongoing All India 13th Gufran Memorial T20 Cricket Championship 2017 being played at Sports Stadium, here.
The tournament is being organized by Young Star Cricket Club Doda and sponsored by Rashtriya Rifles Battalion Doda.
In the first match after winning the toss, ACC Kishtwar set a target of 193 runs for the loss of 07 wickets in alloted 20 overs with the contribution of 65 runs by Henan and 30 runs by Burhan. From Bhatia Cricket Academy Jammu, Roshal Lal and Ravi Kumar shared 2 wickets each.
In reply, BCA Jammu team could not chased the stipulated target and scored only 162 runs in 20 overs for the loss of 9 wickets. Suresh Kumar was the highest scorer who contributed 31 runs while Sukhdev contributed 27 runs for the team. From ACC Kishtwar, Vishal and Jahangir shared 03 wickets each.
Later on Henan of Asraria Cricket Club Kishtwar was declared as Man of the Match for his best batting performance.
In the second match, after winning the toss, Himalayan Sher Cricket Club Himachal Pradesh set a target of 121 runs for the loss of 09 wickets in 18 overs with the contribution of 26 and 26 runs by Karam Singh and Bhagirath Thakur respectively. From City Boys MP, Utkarsha Pandey, Pradeep Patil and Swapnil Sharma shared 2 wickets each.
In reply, batsman of City Boys Madhya Pradesh team chased the stipulated target in 11 overs by the loss of 2 wickets. Pradeep Patil was the highest scorer who contributed 38 runs while Sourav Lehariya scored 35 runs. From HSCC HP, Neeraj Kumar and Bhagirath Thakur shared 1 wicket each.
Later on Pardeep Patil of City Boys Madhya Pradesh was declared as Man of the Match for his best all round performance who was given prize by Chief Guest Sr Cricketer Najeeb ur Rehman Fani along with Ayaz Bangroo.
The matches were officiated by Ifroz Rather, Noushair Batt and Munish Zutshi as umpires while Milind Gore and Waseem Raja maintained the scorebook.
