ASN hosts inter-school quiz competition

Jammu, Nov 22: ASN Higher Secondary School Channi Himmat hosted an inter-school quiz competition- ‘Bharat Ko Janno’, here today.
The event was organized by Shivalik Branch of Bharat Vikas Parishad wherein teams from eight schools participated in junior and senior level competitions including host School, Tiny Tots HSS Sainik Colony, Global Convent School Channi Rama, Modern Public School Channi Himmat, KB Public HSS Channi, RMPS Sainik Colony, Naveen Shiksha Kendra School Channi Himmat and Himmat Learning School Channi Himmat.
Administrator host School, Ritesh Kapoor presented the welcome address and said that the winning and losing should never be the criteria for the children in any competition but what matters is the active participation. He appreciated the efforts put in by the participating schools for showing their keen interest in participating in the competition.
Prof Anil Kr Raina (Retd), University of Jammu was the special invitee on the occasion. He said that giving students such platforms is the need of the hour to boost their morale and to prepare them for future prospects.
Regional president Dev Raj Sharma North president, Arun Sharma additional joint secretary Region North, Rajesh Gupta, organising secretary-JK Prant and Mahila Parmukh Trishula Gupta were also present.
President of branch Hardiya Nath Vaid, Ashok Gupta vice-president Sanskar,Vijay Sharma J&K vice president Samparak Parmukh and Ashok Khajuria, treasurer of branch and many others graced the event along with host School office bearers.
In senior category- Global Convent School stood first, while RM Public School claimed 2nd place and ASN Higher Secondary School, Channi Himmat remained third, besides in junior category- Modern Public School stood first, while RM Public School stood second and KB Public School clinched third position.
The function closed with ‘National Anthem’, while vote of thanks was presented by Ashok Khajuria, treasurer of the branch.
