Ashok Kumar elected Vice President SGFI

JAMMU, June 19: For his skill and experience, Deputy Director (Central) Youth Services and Sports, Ashok Kumar has been unopposed elected Vice President of School Games Federation of India (SGFI), today.
The decision in this regard was taken during an Annual Election Meeting of the SGFI held under the observation of J Swisvian at New Delhi, today.
Olympians Balwan Singh and Khazan Singh were the Returning Officers during the meeting.
Meanwhile, Olympian Mahabali Satpal of Delhi has retained the post of the President of the Federation, while Rajesh Mishra of Uttar Pradesh has been nominated General Secretary of the SGFI. N Supal of Maharashtra was elected Treasurer of the Federation.
It is pertinent to mention here that Ashok Kumar has a vast experience in the field of sports in different capacities as a player, a coach, an organizer and an administrator and his nomination in the National Federation is a step forward in promoting sports and games in the State.
