SRINAGAR, Oct 10: J&K Squash Rackets Association (J&K SRA) conducted election of Office Bearers/ Members for the term 2015 to 2019 in a Special General Body meeting held at Hotel Bharat, here.
Arshad Ahmad Khan was elected as president of the Association, while Waseem Raja was elected as senior vice president.
Ajay Kapoor was elected as vice president, Jammu and Basit Ahmad as vice president Kashmir.
Supinder Deep Singh was elected as general secretary of the Association, while Mudasir Hassan and G S Bakshi were elected as joint secretaries of Kashmir and Jammu divisions respectively.
Firdous Ahmad was elected as treasurer.
The executive members of the Association included Arif Ahmad Khan, Mohd Shafi, Muneer Ahmad Banday, Umar Mushtaq Rather, Dr. Taran Singh, Sidhant Mehta, Gurdial Singh, Shabir Ahmad and Riyaz Ahmad Khan (life member).
Deedar Singh will work as associate member, while Krishan Kumar was nominated as technical advisor of the Association.
According to a handout issued here, the meeting was held under the supervision of J&K State Sports Council and J&K Olympic Association.
