JAMMU, Oct 17: In an endeavor to provide an impetus to sports facilities in educational institutes in far flung areas, Rashtriya Rifles Battalion based at Gool, under Uniform Force today distributed sports items to Government High School, Khanikote.
Government High School, Khanikote is imparting education to more than 180 students of Gool and its adjoining areas. Army authorities at Gool took the initiative of providing cricket kit, carom board, chess board, volleyball and football for the students.
Expressing gratitude towards Army, Uttam Singh, principal of the school said that such an initiative of the Army will be beneficial for the overall development of the school children.
