Handwara, Apr 26: Army today said a basketball event organized by it in Naugam sector of Handwara area of Kupwara district concluded today with Chinar Sports winning the finals.
An army official said the venue of the event was Basket Ball ground at Army Goodwill School (AGS) Naugam. He said that the event began on April 21 and it was organized by 4/1 Grenadiers under 17 Infantry Brigade.
A total of 8 teams participated in the event and the final was played between Chinar Sports Naugam and AGS Naugam. The final however was won by the Chinar Sports. The people of the area thanked army for holding such kind of events and hoped that more such events will be organized in future.
