JAMMU, Mar 5: Veteran’s Golf Cup 2018 was organised at White Knight Environmental Park and Training Area (WKEPTA), Nagrota on behalf of HQ Northern Command, here.
The tournament saw partipication of 57 golfers including 24 veterans.
The tournament is a step towards appreciating the efforts of veteran’s towards the country and provided an apportunity not only to pursue the sport of golf but also a platform to invite new acquaintances while renewing the old ones. Lt Gen Saranjeet Singh, GOC White Knight Corps felicitated the winners on the occasion.
Among serving officers Best Stableford was won by Brigadier Rajeev Bali and Best Gross was won by Colonel Maxual Roberts.
In the tournament there were two categories for the veteran’s-58 years to 65 years and above 65 years.
Among the Veteran’s, the Award of Most Spirited Golfer was won by Lt Col DS Jamwal (Retd), while Lt Col KK Sharma (Retd) emerged overall winner.
On behalf of Lt Gen D Anbu, GOC-in-C, Northern Command, Lt Gen Saranjeet Singh, GOC, White Knight Corps presented vote of thanks.
