Army distributes sewing machines among needy women

JAMMU, July 22: In an effort to promote self employment and earn their livelihood by a tailoring job, Rashtriya Rifles Battalion under Romeo Force took up a self employment project under ‘Operation Sadbhavana’ for distribution of sewing machines for needy women at village Khanyalkot.
Locals whole heartedly expressed their gratitude towards Indian Army and said that the Army has always been helpful and alive to the aspirations of the villagers.
During the presentation ceremony, sewing machines were presented to 10 women of the village Khanyalkot for establishing a tailoring center to promote self employment and earn their livelihood. The Sarpanch of village Khanyalkot, said that such gestures by the Indian Army are very encouraging for the poor people of remote villages.
