Army conducts Inter-School Science Exhibition

UDHAMPUR, Oct 20: In an endeavour to motivate the students of rural areas, build their confidence and facilitate their talent, Indian Army organised an ‘Inter School Science Exhibition Competition’ for students, at Gool. The aim of the competition was to boost the scientific threshold and aptitude of the school going children.
A total of 163 students from seven schools in and around Gool village, participated in the science exhibition cum competition. The theme selected for the exhibition was ‘Alternate Sources of Energy’ in which students participated with enthusiasm and zest. Garden Model Academy, Gool was adjudged the winner, with Government Higher Secondary School, Thatarka and Government Girls High School, Gool being second and third respectively.
School Principal and teaching Staff expressed gratitude towards the Army for organising the event.
They said that such events go a long way in stimulating the scientific curiosity of the young minds as also the importance of co-curricular activities of the students. Such initiatives by the Army also provide a boost to the efforts of the Government in their ‘Mission Education’.
