SRINAGAR, Oct 18: Arco FC drubbed Kashmir Avenger FC by 2 goals to 1 and JKSPDC trounced J&K Food & Supplies-XI by 2 goals to nil in the ongoing Khyber Milk Premier Football League-2021, being played at Synthetic Turf TRC, here today.
During the first match which was played between Arco FC and Kashmir Avengers. As the play started the forward lines of the both teams tried to make an early impact in the match and attacked each other’s goalpost regularly.
It was the 29th minute when Mehraj of Arco FC scored the first goal of the match giving his team a huge boost. Kashmir Avengers tried hard to score an equaliser but failed to do so and the half time score remained in favour of the Arco FC by 1-0. The 2nd half of the game witnessed some attacking football by both the teams as Avengers team was desperate to score an equaliser while the Arco FC wanted to double its lead. In the 48th minute, Kashif of Arco FC doubled the lead, while Kashmir Avengers’ Kelvin scored a goal in 74th minute of the game, followed by both the teams tried their best to score but failed to score another goal for their team and match ended with 2-1 goals in favour of Arco FC. Mehraj of Arco FC was declared as man of the match.
The 2nd match was played between Food & Supplies-XI and J&K Power Development Corporation Football team (JKSPDC-XI) wherein the latter was succeeded to initial goal in the 8th minute of the game through Mehran Dar, followed by another goal in the 47 minute of the game through Zaffar.
However, the opponent team tried hard to net a goal but failed to do so and the match ended with 2-0 goals in favour of JKSPDC. Adil Hussain Mir of Food & Supplies-XI was declared as man of the match.
The tournament is being organized by J&K Football Association in collaboration with J&K Sports Council.
